After a successful initial year, SCLT will again host two TerraCorps service staff “members” from this coming August to July, 2022. The stipended positions include a Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator, who will help support urban and rural growers and stewardship of land trust properties, and a Youth Education Coordinator, who will engage youth in food equity and access advocacy, urban agriculture, healthy meal prep and food systems jobs training.

Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator
TerraCorps members will be compensated with a living allowance ($15,600 for 1700 hours over 11 months), an education award ($6,345 to be paid on completion of the program) plus additional AmeriCorps benefits. Service members will gain valuable experience in nonprofit work as well as new skills and resources to become the next generation of land conservation leaders.
New this year, SCLT will offer a housing stipend ($325/month for 11 months) for Black, Latino, Indigenous, SE Asian or refugee residents of South Providence, Pawtucket or Central Falls.
