NRICD’s online sale of trees and shrubs is underway until April 24

The Northern RI Conservation District’s Annual Seedling Sale is running now through April 24. Purchases help to support conservation programs throughout Providence County.

Beautiful, mostly native trees and shrubs – from Arrowwood and Eastern Redbud to Colorado Blue Spruce – are available in bundles of 5 to 25 seedlings for $15 to $25. Sales must be pre-ordered on the NRICD website, and picked up between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at The Good Earth Farm and Garden Center, 1800 Scituate Avenue in Cranston.

The Good Earth Farm is selling organic veggie and other plant starts as usual this spring, as well as bags of compost, potting mix, organic fertilizer and other garden supplies. The retail store is open Fridays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. from now until mid-April when it will have expanded hours.

Owners John and Joyce Holscher are continuing to operate The Good Earth until the sale to Southside Community Land Trust is finalized. You can read about SCLT’s partnership with The Good Earth here, and how to help fund the purchase here.

We welcome your support!
