Soil in urban areas often has high amounts of lead. SCLT staff will go through how to test your soil lead level and understand the results. We’ll discuss various methods for reducing your lead exposure in high-lead soil, including adding compost and clean soil, growing certain crops that do not absorb as much lead, wearing gloves when you garden, and washing your vegetables well.
