The University of Rhode Island in partnership with the USDA is offering a new, four-year scholarship for high school seniors who pursue academic studies in the agricultural and food sciences – fields with growing job opportunities in Rhode Island. Students of color who major or minor in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems may receive $6,500 per year, as well as paid summer research fellowships and other benefits.
