Table to Farm is an annual fundraiser that began in 2014. It is the brainchild of SCLT friend Rob Yaffe, owner of the Grange, a restaurant and live music venue on Providence’s West Side. The Grange specializes in vegetarian dishes made with locally grown produce (much of it from SCLT-supported urban farms!).

Every year during Table to Farm (usually held on an evening in July or August) Rob generously donates 100% of the food proceeds from dinners at the Grange to SCLT, to help us provide urban farmers and community gardeners with land, resources and training in sustainable agriculture.

“People in Rhode Island want all families – regardless of income – to have fresh, healthy food,” says Rob. “Table to Farm is a chance for all of us to help make that happen.” Yaffe also owns two other great restaurants: Garden Grille and Wildflour Vegan Bakery & Juice Bar, both in Pawtucket. He is a long-time supporter of SCLT as well as many other local nonprofits.
