Join us at our newest community garden – in Garfield Park, Central Falls – as we discuss how to know if you’re growing in safe soil, how to take easy steps to improve your soil and how to prep a garden bed for planting. We’ll also talk about how and when to direct seed and transplant your seedlings into the soil. Neighbors of Garfield Park are encouraged to participate, and will be able to sign up for a community Garden plot on this day. Free seeds and seedlings will be available – first come, first served!
This class is designed for English language learners. We will provide interpreters upon request. It is free but registration is required. Please contact Andrew at 401-273-9419, ext. 107 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to sign up for a garden plot.
Information about resources available from the USDA National Resources Conservation Service will be shared at this workshop.
