Interested in reducing food waste, building practical skills, and connecting with Rhode Island’s food system community? URI Cooperative Extension’s Food Recovery for Rhode Island program is a six-week fall course open to all Rhode Islanders 18 and older, combining customizable field experiences with online learning.
Participants will build hands-on skills in food storage, preservation, composting, and green event planning, while meeting organizations and professionals working across the local food system. The course runs on a choose-your-own-adventure model, so you can shape the experience around your interests and schedule.
