Shana joined SCLT as development director in 2013. Rooted in the belief that good food is fundamental to building a healthy child, Shana was drawn to the organization’s work in urban agriculture.
Her children attend a local school in which many of the students fall below the poverty line and the disparities and their residual effects had become apparent. With a Bachelor of Architecture from Philadelphia University and a background in designing schools, her focus shifted over time from design to development in the nonprofit sector.
Shana draws from her design and presentation background to organize meaningful events, and generate thoughtfully designed materials to deliver SCLT’s message. She looks to engage donors by sharing her passion for the organization and inspiring them to make our future work possible through their gifts.
