Jake became interested in sustainable agriculture through his passion about the healing and knowledge we can gain from looking towards our ancestors. After double concentrating in Physics and Africana Studies at Brown University, he saw sustainable agriculture as an intersection at which science comes into conversation with ancestral culture.

Jake hopes to one day use his knowledge of sustainable agriculture to grow spaces where people can heal through building a connection with the Earth. Along with being a farmhand at City Farm, Jake enjoys his work with the Produce Aggregation Program, which enables local, small-scale farmers to grow their businesses and expand their customer bases.
