One of Rob’s first paying jobs was picking sweet corn on a family farm in his hometown in central Connecticut. Since then he has been a guerilla gardener, farmworker, cook and chef in the Northeastern U.S. and in Central Europe. After working as the director of community organizing for the national nonprofit Chefs Collaborative, Rob joined SCLT in 2014. He holds a BA in English from the University of Vermont and an MLA in Gastronomy, with a focus in Food Policy, from Boston University. Rob is in charge of all of SCLT farm and garden infrastructure. He is a wizard at stretching budgets and building projects so that more people can grow food and benefit from our programs. When not at work, he can be found in the woods in Rhode Island, foraging for wild edibles, fishing or hunting – all at the best spots. Sorry, he won’t let us tell you where.
