After years as CEO of Hospice Care RI, Analee Wulkuhle knows just how powerful it can be to support an organization through a bequest. SCLT is honored that she chose to include SCLT in her own estate plans.
“Southside Community Land Trust is unique in that it has stayed so close to its roots, quite literally but also through its connections to the gardeners and farmers who are at the heart of its mission. I totally believe in SCLT’s mission and feel as though it needs as much help as it can get. A bequest is a wonderful way to potentially stretch my contributions in the future.”
The Legacy Society was established to honor individuals who have included Southside Community Land Trust in their estate plans. Beginning in 2012, individuals who have designated the organization in their wills are invited to join as members of the Society. These gifts will help to build a permanent endowment at Southside Community Land Trust so that we can continue to do the kind of grassroots work attuned to the changing needs of our grower community. Joining the Legacy Society is easy. It is a matter of advising the Development Office of the creation of your estate gift. We also encourage documentation of the gift, and if desired, the gift could remain anonymous.
All members of the Legacy Society are investing in the future of not only urban agriculture, but the future of Providence and Rhode Island. For more information about planned gifts, please call Shana Santow at 273-9419 ext 23.
